Getting Camtasia going to produce a narrated video of your presentation

As you have seen in our class, I have been using short video presentations to describe certain computer activities and otherwise show well what is on my screen and to edit and improve the audio narration as well as publish the video to make it accessible on my youtube channel..

As a part of the lessons in this class, and to satisfy the presentation requirements for the class final assignment, you should download the Camtasia software Free Trial to a Windows or Mac machine to which you have access and use it. Here is the link: http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.html. Once it is downloaded, you have 30 days of full functionality.

To get used to how to use it, follow the Getting Started tutorials available for either Windows or Mac installations.

Assignment 13: Simple presentation test

For this assignment, you are to narrate a powerpoint or other set of pages on your screen of your choice related to one of the last few assignments. The video should be less than 1 minute long, contain a short title page, and have been edited by you to make it compact and clear. You do not have to include video of yourself, but it must include audio. From your assignments page, you should link to the web page and the MP4 video file directly exported from Camtasia Studio. You can play around with youtube, but that is not necessary for this assignment or the final project. Assignment is due by the beginning of class, Monday, November 16 by the beginning of class.
