Next generation data exploration and visualization tools: GeoMapApp

http://www.geomapapp.org/ is an example of a earth science data integration system that uses a range of new mapping and data management tools to enable exploration of our planet. Before we get started, let's look at the Virtual Ocean. These tools ar now hosted under an umbrella project called IEDA--Interdsciplinary Earth Alliance. Look for example at the IEDA data browser

A critical component of GeoMapApp is its inclusion of the Global Multi-Resolution Topography (100 m resolution).
